What stood out to me is the thought and execution that went into creating images that showcased their pieces. It’s pretty much why Zara gets me every time. If you can get the wheels of my brain turning without me seeing anything in person then you’ve got me.
As a part of my collaboration with Verge Wardrobe, I was gifted this beautiful plaid coat to style and I look at it as God answering my prayers x2. You know I’m in the “love” stage of my relationship with the color red so I love that I get that with this coat. It is also oversized and I HAVE to have oversized coats in the winter. I don’t play about my winter coat game and this coat takes the cake for me. Although it is plaid and features a pretty bold color, it is not an impractical piece. If you have black or white pieces in your closet then you’re good to go.
I chose to wear this coat with a black turtleneck sweater I’m sure I’ve had since high school, skinny jeans from Levi’s and my Reuben boots from Ego Shoes. I know you saw that one coming right? I’ve been looking for another reason to wear these boots into the ground and this coat has opened the floodgates. It just occurred to me that the zipper on my sweater matches the rings on my boots and, to me, that means this look is a match made in heaven. That sounds a little eh, but roll with me. I’ve been looking for a red coat but I wanted something that was slightly different from my other coats. An overall red wool coat would have been nice but I wanted something that would pop so to speak. Insert this plaid coat that will be worn often. To work, to run errands, to shop, to the mailbox. Everywhere.
