Although it’s fall, #HotGirlSummer still has a firm grip on our lives and there’s no telling when she’s going to exit the scene. There have been some people who want to cling to summer so I blame them for the unnecessary heat wave rounds outside. Seriously, it’s too hot reached scorching and we need a reprieve. Some of us did not sign up for this amount of heat.
A small amount of this has to do with the fact I personally can’t wait to start wearing fall wear. I love a good “legs out, fun’s out” moment but I’ve been longing for fall ever since the beginning of summer. I long for the days where neutral and wine colors coupled with sultry animal prints dominate my social media feeds. Don’t get me wrong, there were some amazing summer styles but NOTHING will ever beat fall/winter wear in my opinion.
Since Atlanta hasn’t gotten the memo that it’s fall out. I’m giving a summer outfit one last hurrah and then I’m transitioning my wardrobe from summer to fall ASAP.
This particular outfit served as my “running errands” look despite the fact I truly only ran one official errand. I’m adjusting to city life IN the actual city of Atlanta so I decided to explore my neighborhood and surrounding areas. While some places are within walking distance, I wanted to slip into something I can’t necessarily wear at work coupled with a pair of heels (last worn here). This outfit is pretty casual aside from the heels and lipstick I chose to wear.
When fall finally starts to feel like fall, I predict we’ll see a lot of neutral colors, animal print patterns, rich burgundy hues, oversized outerwear and boots. I’m particularly waiting thigh high boot time.
If fall is your favorite season, what are some styles or trends that you’re looking forward to seeing or wearing?
