If you follow me on Instagram then you know pink and red are my favorite colors. What you may not have known is how hard I’ve tried not to wear such a traditionally feminine color; pink that is. For some reason I was convinced that wearing anything super feminine went against some implied code that feminine wear was “out.” Long story short, I no longer care and I’ve purchased a few staple pink pieces that have been in heavy rotation. Heavy rotation.
One of my last hurrah purchases for a while is this vintage Liz Claiborne blazer (1/2 of a skirt set) from e-commerce brand Elia Vintage. My first post of the year inspired me to make a couple of investments instead of shopping at my usual fast fashion go-to brands. Thing is, pieces on Elia Vintage tend to sell rather quickly but I trusted that something would be available when I was ready to make a purchase and it was, in all of it’s magenta glory.
Truthfully I didn’t exactly plan on this being my second post of the year but the inspiration bug bit me at the last minute so I decided to publish this. There has been A LOT going on this year and I’m in the midst of being okay with a few decisions I’ve had to make. They’re not terrible decisions whatsoever but they are overwhelming and all stem from one big decision I made towards the middle of February. Yesterday was an awful day and I had to admit to myself that I was feeling overwhelmed and terrified. It’s funny what happens the minute you step outside of your comfort zone. Anyway, this short post is supposed to be about this vintage blazer and not my life changing decisions. More on that later.
