10 Spring-Friendly Denim Pieces On My Radar

Regardless of the season, denim will probably always be considered a classic wardrobe staple. It’s timeless and seems to take on a life of its own based on cut, wash, or pattern. For a select few, it may be too casual but for others, it’s the perfect piece-de-resistance of an outfit.

Personally, I can’t seem to get enough of it. I’ve lost count of how many pairs of jeans I’ve had in my lifetime or how many are in my closet for that matter. From jackets to skirts, I’m one of those people who have to have denim in my closet. I’m also a fan of wearing jeans to work.

If the idea of doing that makes you shudder, don’t worry. You’re free to avoid wearing this casual trend at work. However, if you nodded your head in unison, you know how relaxing it can feel to slip into a pair of jeans on Friday.

The question you may have is how did denim become cemented in culture?

brief history

According to Levi Strauss & Co., the first version of jeans was birthed as a result of former customer turned business partner Jacob Davis placing “metal rivets at points of strain, like pocket corners, and the base of the button fly” in 1873. Although the jeans were actually known as “riveted pants,” the fabric used for them was denim and they were mostly considered work wear.

As time passed, denim overalls and jeans began to be associated with cowboys, rebellious teens, and it eventually became what it is today; an icon in its own right.

My spring Denim Picks

No matter where you stand on denim’s impact, it’s one trend that’s probably here to stay.

That being said, here are the 10 pieces I’ve been eyeing this spring!
